What is (DTH)Direct TV Satellite System ?

In 1991, both Direct TV and USSB decided to form an agreement and market their combined channels under the name of DSS, using Hughes DBS satellite and DSS equipment. From then on Direct TV has stopped using DSS as a trade name and has bought out USSB. The United States Broadcasting, Inc. (USSB) was established in 1981 as a subsidiary of Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., and was one of the original DBS license in the US. Direct TV Satellite System still heads the market ahead of Dish Network. Direct TV operates 15 satellites which covers a number of customers. Direct TV not only gives TV programs but also internet and radio facilities through internet! Direct TV today brings in scores of entertainment not only from the local stations but as far away from the Orient East or from the Wild West!! Though Direct TV is credited for bringing in the DTH revolution, it is also credited for bringing in the future of Home Entertainment directly to our TV screens. People now prefer this 'wonder', which provides so much entertainment from different countries, to the more expensive cable service. The 18 inch dish and the digital receivers are manufactured by a number of licensed manufactures and sold under the popular consumer names Sony, Hughes, RCA and others.
